Sanctuary Cove is open to the public 365 days a year, rain or shine, from sunrise to sunset. Feel free to explore the property, our meditative labyrinth, pray, and meditate in our non-denominational Chapel, or walk our 1.8 km Loop Trail with a dozen inspirational stations. Sanctuary Cove is located on Scenic Drive, adjacent to Saguaro National Park West.
Sanctuary Cove offers low-cost permits for photographers, memorial services, weddings, and overnight stays at our renovated adobe brick cottage. Proceeds from these activities are our sole income source and support our spiritual mission.
In addition to the access we offer—free of charge and unencumbered—to the public, we also provide several events designed to provide a communal worship experience.
Our Mission is to provide to the public a place for serenity, prayer, meditation, and a spiritual connection with the eternal. In so doing, we also are committed to protecting the unspoiled sonoran desert at Sanctuary Cove and the areas around the base of Safford Peak.
Sanctuary Cove is a private property open to the public. It is owned and managed by All Creeds Brotherhood, Inc, a religious non-profit corporation. We rely on donations and event fees for our survival. We receive no funding from the government. To support our mission, please make a donation.
NO DOGS, MOUNTAIN BIKING OR DRONES ARE ALLOWED AT SANCTUARY COVE.
Our gates are opened at sunrise and are closed and locked at sunset. No trespassing. The property is under video surveilance.
We get this question a lot. We LOVE dogs, however, we do not welcome you to bring your pet to Sanctuary Cove for several reasons:
1) Our main objective is to preserve this land, its plants, and wild animals in a natural state as much as possible. To that end, we do not allow off-trail hiking, climbing, trail bikes, horses or dogs.
2) Danger to both wild animals AND dogs. Some animals on-site may harm your dog if confronted. Your dog might chase an animal into dangerous areas. And of course, your dog may chase or harass wildlife, dig, or poop on trails or in natural areas.
It would be wonderful if dog owners would consistently leash and control their dogs and pick up their poop. Unfortunately, that is not the case. So, like many National Forests, we have a no-dog policy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy. Sanctuary Cove is a tiny, religious non-profit that works very hard to maintain these grounds as a place of peace for people to find a still moment. We open our gates every day, free of charge for the public. We only ask that our visitors maintain respect for our reasonable rules while they visit so that generations to come may also experience this place of beauty.
Thank you!
