Weddings at Sanctuary Cove
Sanctuary Cove offers a serene desert setting for weddings, elopements, and memorial ceremonies. Nestled in the Tucson foothills, our space is ideal for couples and families seeking a meaningful, simple gathering surrounded by nature.
Sanctuary Cove is open to the public from dawn to dusk and remains a shared, meditative space even during events. Ceremonies here are intimate, respectful, and deeply connected to the natural environment.
Our Ceremony Spaces
Stone Chapel (up to ~25 guests)
A hand-built stone chapel perfect for intimate weddings and small memorials. Please note: the Chapel is outdoors and has no heating, cooling, or running water.
Outdoor Amphitheater (up to ~100 guests)
A beautiful open-air amphitheater with stone seating, ideal for larger gatherings and ceremonies.
Guest Cottage (limited use)
The Cottage may be reserved separately for:
- Day-of preparation
- Small receptions (up to 20 guests)
- Overnight stays (2-night minimum)
Cottage use is subject to availability and must be booked in advance with your event.
Event Sizes & Rates
The event rate and refundable deposit are the same amount. Deposits are refunded after your event if all policies are followed and the space is left as found.

Small Event 11–30 $600
Medium Event , 31–60, $900
Large Event, 61–100, $1,200
Extra Large Event*, 101–180, $1,500
*Events with 100 or more guests require a Sanctuary Cove host.
What Sanctuary Cove Provides

✔ Basic electrical access and Wi-Fi at the Chapel and outdoor podium
✔ A parking map for your guests, access to upper parking lot
Sanctuary Cove is best suited for ceremonies, not traditional receptions.
Important Things to Know
- Sanctuary Cove is a rugged desert environment with dirt paths, rocks, and inclines
- There is one portable restroom on site (not handicap accessible)
- There is no running water at the Chapel or Amphitheater
- Wildlife is present and protected
Parking (Very Important)
All guest parking is in the UPPER PARKING LOT ONLY.
- The Chapel lot is for unloading and handicap parking only (valid placard required)
- No more than two vehicles may remain parked at the Chapel
- Drivers must drop off guests and re-park in the upper lot
Failure to follow parking rules may result in loss of deposit.
Sound, Food & Décor Guidelines
- Events must remain quiet and respectful
- No large speakers or amplified sound
- No alcohol anywhere on the property
- Food is only permitted for Cottage receptions
- No pets allowed
- No balloons, confetti, petals, or litter of any kind
- No candles, open flames, or permanent attachments
Timing
- Set-up may begin at sunrise
- All guests and activities must conclude by sunset (posted daily at the entrance)
Sunset times vary seasonally—please plan accordingly.
